Our practice specializes in interventional treatments for depression and anxiety. The front desk coordinator will be responsible for front desk duties including complex scheduling of multiple treatments, greeting patients, assisting them with check-in, and communicating messages to the physician and other staff members. Strong interpersonal skills are required and prior experience with procedure/ surgery scheduling is desired.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Work closely with the doctor and staff to provide excellent customer service for patients during the in-office consultation/ treatments
Schedule patients for treatments and provide instruction and necessary information
Schedule patients for follow-up appointments
Maintains cleanliness and general appearance of the office
Answer phones within first two rings with a professional and helpful demeanor.
Schedules patient appointments into the EMR system
Assists with medication refills
Assists with rooming patients when necessary
Assists with completing forms
Assists with contacting insurance companies to follow-up on prior authorizations
Maintains detailed knowledge of software as it relates to job functions
Attends all regular staff meetings
Responsible for maintaining relationships with referral network
Promotes clear communication amongst the care team and treating clinicians by ensuring awareness regarding patient treatment plans
Requirements: College graduate or medical assistant certification; excellent self organization skills and a high level of computer literacy is required
Salary is competitive for candidates with strong skills/ experience.
